Zagreb is continuing their season against Sinj

Zagreb - Sinj

Rugby Center Rudeš, Zagreb | February 14, 2026

After the winter break, rugby returns to Rudeš! This Saturday, February 14, Rugby Club Zagreb opens the spring half of the season against one of the league's leading teams-Rugby Club Sinj. While the rest of the city slowly wakes up from its winter slumber, our boys are ready for a real clash on the pitch against a team fighting Mladost for the very top of the table.

The winter break was long, and the anticipation for those first minutes on the field has reached its peak. Although we were scheduled to face Makarska last weekend (February 7), that match was postponed, which only further fueled the atmosphere in the Zagreb locker room. Our players have spent the past months in intensive training, maintaining fitness and developing tactics—now, the time has finally come to show the fruits of that labor.

The guests from Sinj arrive with high confidence. In their last match, they celebrated a victory against a tough Makarska side in a dramatic finish, showing character and a will to win until the final whistle. Their goal is clear: continue the winning streak and maintain pressure at the top.

On the other hand, Zagreb enters this encounter more motivated than ever. The defeat against Mladost in the final round of the autumn season left a bitter taste, but also a clear vision of what needs to be improved. A victory against a powerhouse like Sinj would be the ideal start to the season-a boost to our confidence and a strong message to our rivals that the Lions are a force to be reckoned with in the title race.

What particularly delights every fan is the fact that Zagreb is playing an increasingly better, more modern, and exceptionally attractive style of rugby. This team-built on a foundation of talented young prospects alongside a few experienced veterans who dictate the tempo and provide composure in key moments-proves that the club is growing with every match. This blend of energy and maturity has forged a recognizable identity on the pitch, showing everyone that Zagreb is no longer just a participant, but a serious title contender in the near future.

See you at Rudeš!
