Our first coach has passed away – Rudi Bartolić 🖤

Zagreb Rugby Club is mourning today. Rudi Bartolić, a man woven into the very beginnings and history of our club as its first coach, has left us.

In the days when the club was first being built, Mr. Rudi instilled the distinctive spirit of Zagreb into all of us through his energy and vision. His contribution to the development of rugby in our city and homeland is immeasurable, and we will forever cherish the memory of his sporting and human virtues.

Thank you for every training session, every piece of advice, and every value you instilled in us. Rest in peace, Coach.

Our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and all members of the rugby community who had the honor of knowing him. 🕊️

The funeral will take place on Monday, June 8th, at 10:40 AM at the Crematorium.

The reception (commemoration) will be held on the same day at the club premises starting at 6:00 PM.
